Disappointed with our interaction with McGrath. We had a vehicle brought to this location from a different McGrath location. Very pleased with this service—saved us from driving 2 hours to look at vehicle. We took vehicle for a test drive, looked it over and made the decision to purchase. Our sales person was newer and friendly. However this is where our frustration started. We discussed with both the sales person and the sales manager that we had limited time due to needing to get to work and that we were going to finance with our local bank. The plan was to come back the next night to close on the deal. We were willing to sign a purchase order. The sales manager went over to finance to let them know we were going to purchase vehicle. We were told they would be over shortly for us to sign the purchase order. We waited for an hour for finance to come over. When we told him that we actually needed to get going due to needing to get to work—he indicated no one told him that we were on a time restraint. He was fine with us coming back the next night to finalize everything. So we waisted an hour of our time for nothing!! And this is what we wanted to do all of along and we’re made to feel we had to meet with finance that night. The next day I stayed in communication with finance regarding our loan. We had to push back our appointment time due to a delay with the bank. This information was never relayed to the sales associate. We received a call asking where we were as we were late for our appointment. I explained everything to our sales associate. He said everything would be fine as long as we arrive by 6:15pm. We arrived and waited to finalize everything with finance. Completed the paperwork—during this process we felt like we weren’t given great service due to going through our own bank instead of their financial institutes. We go to leave and find out our vehicle was not detailed!! We specifically asked about the detailing the night before as it had not been detailed. We were told it would be detailed but the night we purchased it we found out they detail vehicles while the purchaser meets with finance. But miracle car wash was closed for the night. We were told we could bring it back for it to be detailed. We live an hour from Dubuque and it’s not that easy to run back over!! Not sure why it wasn’t detailed before we arrived knowing we weren’t coming until 6:15pm!!

The sales person we had, did amazing! Travis was on top of getting us the perfect vehicle and making sure everything worked out in our favor and checking in to see how our new vehicle was working. Taking the time out his day to make sure if we had any questions or concerns to be able to assist the best he could.

Seth Owen from the Dubuque location was amazing! 10/10 would recommend. Very patient and accommodating. I was impressed with his knowledge of the vehicles I looked at!

The McGrath team dealt with me fairly, addressed my concerns, and sold me a VW Atlas I am very happy with!

This is directly for the financing side of my experience. I purchased my car over a month ago and still have not received the payment for my trade-in. I fortunately have a local lender who is working with me and is not penalizing me for the outstanding loan balance greater than $3,000. My salesman was incredible to work with I would highly recommend him. However, this is the third time buying a car from this location and their finance department has failed me every time.
